A very warm welcome to the Kite Primary Federation, which brings together Stockcross Primary School and Welford and Wickham Primary School.

Our two small village schools are very special places where children are at the heart of everything we do. Each school has its own unique character and identity, while sharing the same commitment to providing a happy, nurturing and ambitious education for every child.

Being small means that we know our children as individuals. We celebrate their strengths, understand their needs and encourage them to challenge themselves, persevere and achieve their very best. Our children feel safe, valued and known, developing the confidence, curiosity and skills they need to flourish both academically and personally.

Our talented and dedicated staff provide rich and engaging learning experiences within welcoming environments where children are encouraged to explore, create and develop a genuine love of learning. By working together across the federation, we can share expertise, resources and opportunities while preserving everything that makes each of our schools distinctive.

Our Christian vision and values of love, mutual respect, perseverance and challenge shape our daily life. They guide the way we learn, work and care for one another. We warmly welcome children and families of all faiths and of none, ensuring that everyone feels a strong sense of belonging within our school communities.

It is a genuine privilege to serve as Interim Headteacher of the Kite Primary Federation and to lead both Stockcross Primary School and Welford and Wickham Primary School. I am incredibly proud of our wonderful children, committed staff, supportive families and strong local communities. Together, we are building an exciting future in which every child is encouraged to shine.

A website can offer only a small glimpse of school life, so I warmly invite you to come and experience our schools for yourself. We would be delighted to show you around, introduce you to our staff and children, and share what makes our schools such happy and inspiring places to learn.

Please contact either school office to arrange a visit. We look forward to welcoming you.

Mrs Mel Kilding
