Stockcross PTFA

Key Information

PTFA

The PTFA are a friendly and active group of parents who regularly organise fundraising events and initiatives to provide the children and school with resources that enrich their learning. Examples of things that the PTFA have raised money for in the past are a refresh of the reading scheme and library books and the renovation of the old IT suite into the flexible learning space that has now become the Shared Learning Area. This renovation included new laptops and charging trolleys, furniture, flooring and an interactive whiteboard. We also help with the smaller things that help make a difference day-to-day by funding classroom budgets for equipment and additional learning resources.

Our two main events of the year are the Christmas Fun Day and our Summer Fete – both so enjoyable for all the family whilst raising the largest proportion of our much-needed funds. Other events can include discos, bingo nights, bake-offs and treasure hunts! We also have some online programmes which are a great way to keep the pennies rolling in for the smaller items. Please see below for more details on these.

How can you help?

Events and activities

There are many ways you can help the PTFA, from offering an hour or two to help at one of the events, to helping coordinate and drive a new event/activity or becoming full committee member. Please don’t hesitate to bring new ideas – there will be no pressure to put good ideas into action. It really is up to you how much you put in and all help is very gratefully received. It’s this helpful ethos at Stockcross that makes us a very successful PTFA.

Did you know that by donating 1 hour of your time to the work of the PTFA, you can claim up to £500 per year in matched-funding donations? Please do get in touch if you can spare an hour or two at one of our upcoming events.
